Zero tolerance
Unacceptable behaviour including verbal abuse and violence will not be tolerated. This also includes any discrimination against anyone on the premises, anyone who offends in this way will always be removed from the practice list. The NHS operates a zero tolerance policy in these matters. This isn’t just for service users and our staff, but also for anyone accompanying a service user.
The practice will involve all and any appropriate agencies to assist in dealing with these issues including reporting the matter to the police.
Pride in Practice
Equality and Diversity is a huge part of our core values and principles. Pride in Practice is a quality assurance and social prescribing programme for primary care services and lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities. It develops and strengthens relationships between clinicians and patients and enables primary care services to link with community assets and utilise strength based approaches to community healthcare deliver. The organisation opposes all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination and will ensure all service users are treated equally and will not discriminate on grounds of gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, religion or age.
